Porta Posnania ICHOT (Interactive Centre for the History of the Cathdral Island) - 100 m

The Cathedral Island is vitally important both for Poznań and the whole country in geneal. Namely, it used to be the most majestic and mighty castle of Prince Mieszko I, the first historical ruler of Poland. Here the whole state of Poland was born. At present, the island and its surroundings are slowly turning into a touristic attraction, a form of eco-museum.
